1. Who we are
Paws on Wheels is a Chennai-based doorstep dog and cat grooming service. This policy explains how we handle information shared through our website and service. We groom pets inside our van at your location; there’s no walk-in store. For privacy questions, reach us at hello@pawsonwheels.in or WhatsApp.
2. What we collect, and why
- Waitlist (if your area isn’t covered yet): your name, WhatsApp number, and the area or pincode you entered. Used only to message you on WhatsApp once we start serving your area.
- Reviews you submit: your first name, your pet’s name and species, the area and package you booked, a star rating, your written review, and, only with your explicit consent at submission, an optional photo of your pet. Every submitted review is held privately (“pending”) and checked by our team before anything is shown publicly; we may edit for length, or decline to publish, but we never publish a review without the consent you gave when you submitted it. Any location or device information embedded in an uploaded photo (EXIF data) is automatically removed before we store it.
- Checking your area: the pincode or area name you type into the checker is used only to tell you whether we cover it, and isn’t stored unless you go on to join the waitlist.
- We don’t have a contact form. The footer links to WhatsApp, phone and email, and each one is handled by that platform directly; nothing is stored on this website.
3. Booking and WhatsApp
Every booking on this site ends with a WhatsApp message to us: we don’t take bookings, payments, or store appointment or pet details anywhere on the website itself. Once you’re on WhatsApp, that conversation happens on WhatsApp’s platform under WhatsApp’s (Meta’s) own privacy policy, not this one.
4. Payments
We don’t collect or process any payment or card details through this website. Payment is arranged directly with our team once your booking is confirmed on WhatsApp.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics only to understand which areas and packages visitors look at, so we know where to add vans next. We never sell visitor data. Analytics runs only if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner; click “Decline” and it never loads. Your choice is remembered in your browser; to change it, clear this site’s data in your browser and revisit.
6. Who we share data with
- Google Analytics (only if you’ve accepted cookies): Google, as our analytics processor.
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms): only for the conversation you start with us by clicking a WhatsApp button; we don’t send your details to WhatsApp outside of that conversation.
We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t share it with anyone beyond the two services above.
7. How long we keep it
Published reviews stay on the site as long as the review itself is live. For everything else, such as waitlist entries and reviews we don’t end up publishing, we don’t yet have a defined retention period.
8. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the data we hold about you, such as your waitlist entry or a review you submitted, by WhatsApp or email (above) and we’ll action it. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you also have the right to withdraw any consent you’ve given (for example, for a review photo) at any time, with effect from when you withdraw it.
9. Children
This service isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through this website.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or our practices change. The version on this page is always the current one; we’ll update the date at the top whenever it changes.
